Performers Celebrate Their Birthdays with Cabaret Shows at Germano’s: Happy Birthday Marcus Dagan (“The Best of Me,” Wednesday, 11/13) and Ginny Carr (Uptown Vocal Jazz Quartet, Saturday, 11/23)

UVJA!How do performing artists and arts patrons celebrate their significant milestones?  With a show of course!  New York transplant, singer-songwriter and popular cabaret artist, Marcus Dagan, celebrates his birthday this Wednesday, November 13, with an all-new cabaret act, entitled, “The Best of Me”.  This marks the third year that Marcus has celebrated his birthday in song at Germano’s with, in his words, “the best people–you.”  Tickets are $10.

Then, on Saturday, November 23, Ginny Carr who is celebrating a birthday this week, brings the Uptown Vocal Jazz Quartet back to Germano’s for another fabulous evening as the group breathes new life into the tradition of the great harmonizing vocal groups with its new cool: a repertoire of swinging, tightly harmonized originals and a sound that is quickly becoming a vocalese classic. The group includes: Ginny Carr (vocal alto), Andre Enceneat (bass vocal), Holly Shockey (soprano vocal), Robert McBride (tenor vocal), Frank Russo (drums), Alan Blackman (piano), and Max Murray (bass). Tickets are $20.

Last night, we celebrated a  lovely patron’s birthday in the Cabaret Room, overflowing with friends and family from all over the country, as we enjoyed Adele Russell and Bob Hallock in their new cabaret, “Baby, It’s You.”  There are three shows remaining next week: Saturday is sold out; we have seats available for the Friday (11/15) and Sunday (11/17) performances.  Tickets are $15.

It is particularly gratifying to us that our new PIATTINI menu has been so well-received by all of you.  We have thoughtfully designed the menu to reflect the way we entertain our friends and family at home–beginning with the finest ingredients, an interesting selection, creative presentations — and most importantly, an awareness and appreciation of your desire to make informed choices about the food that you eat.  With our charming new bar and private dining room downstairs, and the refurbished upstairs dining room and Cabaret Room, we have four distinct dining spaces for your entertaining needs, with live music upon request.  As you plan your holiday celebrations, please consider hosting your guests at Germano’s.  Make our restaurant your terzo— your home away from home and work. 🙂
